A Window of Opportunity Opens Wide

GES's penetration of international markets is part of the company's renewed strategy and goals which are to introduce optimal solutions in water and waste-water management in international projects.  The wealth of experience, the accumulated knowledge, and the expert personnel, along with a commitment towards excellence and innovation, position GES as a state-of-the-art brand.

2006 is a turning point for GES, a subsidiary of Granite Hacarmel Group Limited, which recently completed its reorganization process.  In an agreement signed recently with Netafim, Tambour Ecology will supply optimal solutions in water and waste-water management. Initial activities are taking shape, as of today, in international markets in Mexico, Greece, and China.

Comprehensive Solutions ("Custom-Tailored Suit")
GES has expanded its product line in a manner that allows its clients to benefit from a comprehensive solution for a wide range of needs:  treatment and production of water to the desired quality; supply of chemicals and special services, and waste-water treatment.

Water – Treatment and Production
GES's decades of involvement in seawater and brackish water desalination projects, positions the company as an Israeli leader in the following fields:
  • Water production at drinking water quality and supplying to Mekorot lines;
  • Water production at a quality suitable for power plant and industrial usage;
  • Brackish water desalination to drinking water quality;
  • Reclaimed water desalination to unlimited irrigation quality;
  • GES provides specialty chemicals (antiscalants) for desalination facilities and is the only company in Israel approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection abiding with the regulations for pumping phosphorous to sea.
GES, together with Netafim, is taking part in large-scale irrigation projects in Mexico, California, Eastern Europe, and Asia

Waste-Water Treatment
GES provides the urban and industrial sectors with optimal solutions in waste-water management, through the use of state of the art technologies.  These technologies include: membrane technologies, ion exchange systems, filters, sediments, biological  treatment, physics – chemical treatment and application of specialty chemicals for waste-water treatment facilities.

As part of Tambour Ecology's strategy, significant resources have been invested in acquiring and developing innovative technologies, unique to the treatment of industrial waste-water.  Among other things, the company has acquired shares in the start-up company "Uneqileen", which provides technology for the treatment of particularly complex organic waste-water, by way of catalytic oxidation.  The advantages of this method are: operational simplicity, operation in optimal environmental conditions, and low operating costs.

An expert crew of engineers and technicians, specializing in supply, operation, and installation services, is at the clients' disposal, custom-tailoring optimal solutions, according to each client's particular needs, while conforming to the strictest environmental standards.

The flagship project – seawater desalination in Palmachim, with a capacity of 30 million m3/year – is in advanced construction stages
