Our History
GES was created as a result of a merger between three veteran Israeli water companies: Italchem Ayalon, Aniam, and Chemitaas.
In 2002, GES acquired Texma, a firm specializing in industrial adhesives, lubricants and chemicals for treating metals.
In 2006, GES acquired Argad, a firm specializing water and wastewater treatment for small and medium-sized projects.
These new sets of skills, special expertise and contacts obtained by careful acquisitions have been meticulously fused into a broad repertoire of proven capabilities spread across a large number of market sectors. GES today offers its solutions, products and services to a large spectrum of the international market.
Ownership
GES is owned by Granite Hacarmel Investments Ltd (1981), a public holdings company traded on the Tel Aviv stock exchange since 1992. The Granite Hacarmel group includes, among others, leading companies operating within the petroleum and energy fields, the paint industry, chemical industry, tourism, and real estate.
Granite Hacarmel is controlled by the Canit HaShalom group owned by the charitable Canadian businessman David Azrieli. The Canit HaShalom group is Israel's largest and most profitable real estate holdings company providing GES with robust financial support and top managerial assistance.
